I'm horrified!

OK, I spent 30 years working for the government so maybe I'm spoiled regarding accomodations made for employees - the government is very good about not stepping on toes.

But come on, people.  There are two CSS's at my store who just found out they have life threatening medical conditions, and both need surgery.  Of course they will be off work for a while to recover...and both were told they might as well look for other jobs because WM will not give them leaves of absence for surgery.

Did I miss something here?  Does Walmart have NO heart at all?  These people may die without surgery, and the attitude is, "tough bounce?"  It makes me sick.

Writer's Block: Doh!

What is the dumbest thing you've ever done?

I ignored my diabetes until I lost my vision in both eyes.  I can see now, but my vision is nowhere near as good as it should be.
